Antinori inaugurates new Cellars in San Casciano

After a 5 year restoration project that cost 100 million Euro, the Antinori family has finally completed its new headquarters in Bargino, San Casicano.

The futuristic Chianti Classico cellars were built by excavating a hill on the property to incorporate them into the landscape and to guarantee an ideal temperature of 17°C. The three naves of the building are 75 meters long and house barriques and barrels to produce 2.5 million bottles.

The complex also includes a museum and shop, an auditorium, a restaurant, a wine tasting hall, an olive oil cellar and a vinsanto (dessert wine) cellar.

Starting in February of 2013 it will possible to visit the cellars for guided tours and tastings.
